Creative Reprographics is a branded identity for me to represent my creativity + design handwriting in one place. A portfolio at its core, as well as a platform for any other creative works i choose to showcase.
sure — i couldv’e just used my name… but where’s the fun in that?
So, what is Creative Reprographics?
fair enough! what’s your background then? what’s the story?
my hometown had a vibrant alternative music scene so I used to design band merchandise + flyers, digital banners, that sort of thing. this sparked a wider interest for commercial design + introduced me to design tools. My first job was at a printing studio taught me the entire print production process, from concept, setups, to press operation. This foundation enabled my later transition into graphic design for apparel, as the principles are much the same.
Starting out as a junior, I advanced to through a few roles with reputable companies, ultimately becoming the head of design + Print Director at a leading london supplier. for the past 10 years I’ve held this position, managed the menswear department + had huge involvement in many creative projects inc. brands, licensing, social + marketing. i’ve innovated the creative approach towards briefs, whilst promoting growth for juniors through internal education workshops + mentoring. it’s been a journey.
Sounds Great — You must have studied, right?
as a bit of an outlier, the conventional path didn’t excite me, so I didn't pursue a formal degree. controversial, i know…
but i wasn’t sitting back, instead i went for the hands on approach. I made the most of every opportunity to learn + grow in my career. I’ve always been deeply creative, so finding outlets for this just feels natural. There’s no better way to learn than to face a challenge head-on, hold your feet to the fire… so to speak.
Impressive. What’s your creative approach then?
I stay ahead in design by analysing global trends in many sectors, such as music + film. These among others are both personal passions + professional inspirations for me + my work. I blend commercial ideas with THE LATEST digital techniques, tailoring concepts to fit specific requirements, whilst being mindful of client expectations + economic considerations.
what’s the point of difference in your work?
I focus on meticulous detail + genuine authenticity in my work, seamlessly integrating multiple trends into one commercial idea. My non-destructive design approach ensures adaptability + easy revisions, maximising workflow.
